Mat for Wood Pieces

After children make letters on the letter cards, they practice building them on the 8½" × 11" blue foam mat.

• The bright yellow smiley face in the top left corner helps to orient the child.
• Imitating the teacher, children form capital letters by placing the wood pieces on the mat.
