These scissors are operated by depressing the large "T" shaped handle.  The spring will automatically reopen the scissor when the cutting action has been completed.  The scissor is mounted on a plastic base with rubber feet to keep it from sliding. Suitable for use by those with only one functional hand, the brightly coloured base aids visual differentiation.
