Slate Chalkboard

The chalkboard is made of real slate, measuring 4" x 6", in a sturdy wood frame.

• The smiley at the top left corner orients children and reinforces top to bottom, left to right directionality.
• The slate provides a frame of reference so that children write capitals and numbers in a consistent size and without reversals.
• The activities improve children’s finger dexterity, helping them to develop a good pencil grip. Writing correct chalk strokes prepares children for pencil strokes.
• The fun and tactile lessons prepare children for pencil and paper.
