Tools for Pets is filled with wonderful stories and photos from therapists and parents highlighting techniques used with animals as well as enduring stories about animals helping children. The animal assisted therapy stories describe ways in which animals have been used to assist in their treatment of children (including some with autism) and adults who have sensory processing issues with positive results. The authors also describe animals with sensory processing issues and the simple techniques people have used to help them. Co-authored by Diana A. Henry, MS, OTR/L and Deanna Sava, MS, OTR/L.
